After reading some of the questions I've gotten over the last month or so, I think we need to go back to the basics. "RunningThe Bases" will be a four part post that will break down each "base" in "the classic base system". Before we start lets first define what the base system is for those who don't know. The base system originated sometime after world world war two, It became popular for american adolescents (mainly male) to use the game of baseball as a euphemistic metaphor for the degree of sexual intimacy achieved in a sexual encounter or relationship. Each sexual progression is described as if it was an action in the game.
Although details vary, about wich bases stands for which action Im going to describe them as follows:
- First base is any form of mouth to mouth kissing, especially open lip ("French") kissing as well as grouping on top of the clothes.
- Second base is anything involving hands and fore play including touching her breast (under the shirt) as well as heavy petting and fingering.
- Third base Is oral sex, you going down on her or her giving you a blow job.
- Home run/Fourth base is of course sex.
- Fifth base is sometimes thought to be anal sex. (But That'll be a post all on its own ;) "
Now that we know what the bases are lets talk about "First Base"
I'm sure most of you are reading this thinking "Oh man, I know how to kiss what a waste of time." But the fact of the matter is most girls I know number one complaint of there high school boy friend is that he was a terrible kisser. If You're on of those guys who shoves his tongue into a girls mouth and just starts lapping around, You are a bad kisser. If you're jaw has ever started to hurt while making out, You are a bad kisser. If you have ever had to wipe your face or she's had to wipe hers after a make out session, You are a bad kisser. The general rule of thumb when it comes to tongue is that less is more. kissing needs to be mainly about the lips, think of the tongue as an accent. You'll get better results if you kiss her lips gently and then every 3 or 4 kiss just slide your tonuge into her mouth or bite or suck her lip softly.But never for more then a few seconds. Try this out and watch how quickly it improves your game.
Some things to keep in mind
Make sure your breath is fresh.This seem obvious but it is very important. Make sure you brush your teeth before a make out session. There is nothing worse than kissing someone with bad breath. It's nasty!
If you can't make it to a tooth brush before hand, make sure you have a mint with you for back up. Don't take the mint just before the kiss or chew on gum. You don't want to have something in your mouth when you kiss.
Make sure you have moist Lips . You want your lips to be slightly moist when you kiss. Run your tongue over your lips once before you kiss.

When it come to groping on top of the clothes, think of it like pre heating the oven. YOU're using your hands to test boundaries and to get her into the mood. Don;t over do it in any one area. if your continuously rub her crotch through her jeans your just going to make her uncomfortable not horny. When you feel like she's really getting into it, then it's time to see if we can't escalate to second base
